OUR PROJECTS ARE
A COLLECTIVE EXPLORATION + COLLABORATION

NYC Living Room, ABC Home, Shagreen Table, Restoration Hardware, Visual Comfort, CB2 Table

+ An opportunity for clients who appreciate great design and want to be engaged in the process.

+ Our typical projects encompass new construction, full home renovations and/or decor of the entire home, with customizations that enhance lifestyle and aesthetics.

+ Our purchasing model is unique in the industry and provides clarity around spend from start to finish. We make sure money is spent wisely and with investment as the top priority.

+ The boutique nature of Method + Moxie means we engage only several clients each year, ensuring our projects get the focus, attention, and dedication they deserve.

+ We appreciate this is both an investment and a journey, so having fun with it is a guiding principle of our work.

DESIGN AND RENOVATION

We believe in spending time up front to ensure the design is thoroughly considered and details defined to ensure a smooth implementation of the strategy. While the timeline differs based on the project scope, the start of the process to toasting its completion ranges from 8 to 18 months. Construction-related projects typically run long.

1: DESIGN

Our design process begins with a deep dive into our client, imbibing important details about who they are and how they live. This discovery results in a clear direction for the project and from this, we develop the design. Floorplans, elevations, detailed drawings, renderings, and boards are produced, palette defined, and materials and textures collected.

2: KITCHEN + BATH

Should the project involve kitchen or bath build/renovation, our design process begins here as the nature of these spaces is more technical and can have some architectural impact. Kitchen and Bath has its own presentation and approval, along with any architectural consultation recommendations. Once agreed upon we dive into the broader home design.

3: DESIGN APPROVAL

The Design phase culminates in a comprehensive presentation, where all drawings, boards, renderings, materials and an estimated budget are provided to convey the entirety of the design.

4: PRODUCTION

With the design approved and funded, we move into producing the design. This execution phase is where we begin engaging artisans for bespoke elements, refining details and bringing the design to life. This encompasses all ordering, tracking production and shipping, all vendor management, coordinating subs and organizing warehousing.

5: Installation

With all elements of the design ready we provide a consolidated installation. Furniture, lighting, art and decor are delivered and our team is on site for several days providing oversight and guidance to the installation team. Once complete, you return to a home transformed and ready to enjoy!

MATERIALS CONSULTING

Thinking of building or renovating and just looking for some help making the tough decisions?

Selecting the hard materials (stone, tile, flooring, fixtures, and finishes) and palette for a home can make a fun process very stressful for many, and we are here for you.

Through a couple of consultations (via Zoom), we will listen to your needs and desired aesthetics and deliver a package that you can hand to your contractor that defines all materials, finishes, specifications, and purchase lists for a result that will delight you. The timeline for consultation on a singular space is 8 weeks start to finish. Multiple spaces may increase this slightly, but not by more than 4 weeks.

WEEK 1

Within a week of hiring us, we will begin with an introductory meeting to discuss the project. We ask that you come to the meeting with any floor plans, budgetary considerations, and details of the construction that you already have.

WEEks 2-6

We will work on the design, materials, finishes, fixtures and layout for 4-5 weeks. We will collect samples, and create visual materials boards to convey the design intent and any details.  Samples will be shipped to you so you can see and touch them.

WEEks 7-8

We will have our second meeting to review the selections. From this we will make one round of revisions, incorporating any feedback you provide. We will send the revisions to you after 1-2 weeks from our meeting as a full package including a detailed schedule with links for purchase you can present your contractor.

Items we recommend will be available through national providers to ensure your contractor can source them for your project.
